Cheating Statistics – How Many Men Cheat With Their Co-Worker?

Being the paranoid type, I’ve always liked one thing about my husband’s job. He doesn’t have a work place. He is a personal trainer, working mainly with men, at their house.

An average work place offers a whole world of romantic possibilities for men and women alike, even if they are happily married or in a relationship.

Most of us spend MORE time with our co-workers than with our spouses. They are new and exciting, they dress up and look their best coming to work and we never get into a fight with them.

For a troubled marriage (or just any “normal” marriage), this can be a threat.

A recent study, conducted by the University of Washington, has just confirmed my paranoid opinions and found that 62 percent of cheating men – Cheated with someone they met through work.

Not someone they found on Ashley Madison, or Craigslist, not even an old girlfriend they keep in touch with on Facebook. At WORK. Where he spends most of his day.

It actually makes sense, right? You’ve just had another fight; every day struggles and marriage problems take their toll on your relationship. And who is waiting to comfort your man and listen to all his complaints about you? His cute female co-worker of course.

This is true for women as well; 42 percent of cheating woman – Cheated with a co-worker.

Is He Cheating on His Business Trips?

It appears I’m not the only “paranoid” person out there. Another recent study, reported by CNET, found that 66 percent of Americans believe that people cheat on their spouses at work conferences and trade shows.

Of the 2,159 adults polled, a whopping 94 percent believed that bad things happen at conferences and trade shows, with 71 percent admitting they believe that going to a conference will lead to excessive drinking (we all know what THAT can lead to) and 31 percent fearing participation in illegal drug use.

Your Husband Cheated with His Co-Worker – Should He Quit His Job Now?

It’s hard enough (and sometimes impossible) to recover from a spouse’s affair, without having to deal with him seeing the other woman EVERY DAY. Even if it’s over, even if he swears that they don’t talk at all.

How can you ever regain your trust in him when all you can do is obsess about what’s happening between them right now at work?

Of course he has to avoid any contact with HER. But what can he do? Can he really afford to quit his job in the current state of our economy? How can you save your marriage if you are willing to give it one more chance?

First, don’t think for a second that you two can recover from this alone. You need professional help. Consider marriage counseling, and if you can’t afford it or you don’t like it, even a “little” marriage help book can be all that you’ll ever need to heal from this awful crisis and get you back on your feet again.

What do you think? Is your spouse’s work place a threat to your marriage? Are you worried when he goes away on another business trip? Do you constantly check up on him? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Yours,
